Prologue.

OMG.

I have so much to tell you.

This is the beginning. It is the creation of something from one idea, one ‘brain baby’ that birthed itself into the real world. With a blank page, the possibilities become endless.

I spent my 20s transitioning from college life to what I call “soft adulthood” to where I am now. I am 29 years old and I can describe my experience as… well… all I can think of is the Avatar the Last Airbender intro:

"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world."

…which seems like a good analogy for what life in your 20s is like. Stay tuned for 10 years from now when I have another analogy for what life in your 30s is like.

My only hope is to help one person. Or inspire. Or soothe. Each one of you reading this matters so much to me.

As always, take what you want and leave what you don’t.

I will leave you with this:

What would you tell your younger self if you could? Try to tell them. Maybe they will hear.
